Huge congratulations to Eighty year old Peter Clifton who ran 5K at the weekend to raise funds for St Basils, despite having problems with his knees.
Peter has been extraordinarily dedicated to our cause throughout most of his life, volunteering for many years with his church, helping rough sleepers bedding down late at night in the Westminster area of London. He also took part in three Sponsored SleepOuts in the 1990s to fundraise for a variety of homelessness charities.
You can see from his post on Just Giving after the race that he was the oldest by far to take part and although he was last he's still a champion in our eyes, raising almost £500 for St Basils!
Peter Clifton has made it into our 'St Basils Champions' Hall of Fame! Could you be a St Basils Champion?
