Visiting the Birmingham Youth Hub

You must have an appointment to attend the Youth hub otherwise you will be in for a very long wait so please call ahead!

To book an appointment for today or another day please call Youthline on 0300 30 30 099 or text 'NEED ST BASILS' to 62777 for free from your mobile and we will call you back. If you are homeless today and have no where to stay tonight we will see you today, but please call/ text  first.

Once you have booked your appointment you'll need to come to the Youth Hub on Heath Mill Lane for the appointed time.

N.B: Please bring a form of ID with you such as your passport, driving licence or birth certificate. We will struggle to assist you quickly without ID

Other directions:

By Car: The Youth Hub is based on Heath Mill Lane. Unfortunately there is no parking on site. Please don't park in the carpark on Allcock Street as it is permit holders only. The nearest public carpark is accessible via Lower Trinity Street and Heath Mill Lane. Please see Parkopedia for a map of nearby carparks and their prices.

By Rail: The nearest stations are Birmingham Moor Street Station and Birmingham New Street Station. Both are around a 10-15 minute walk. Due to the current refurbishments at New Street Station the main entrance/ exit is currently at the old back of the station on Stephenson Street. However if you turn to your right upon exiting the station there is a new walkway round to the right which heads back underneath the station and if you turn right when you reach the road you'll be back at the old main entrance. Cross the road to your left and enter the Bull Ring shopping centre via the door just past Boots, follow the route round to the left, back passed Boots and Monsoon then when you are back outside turn right, head towards St Martin’s church in front of you, then keeping St Martin’s on your left turn right onto Digbeth, follow the road past South Birmingham college and the Custard Factory (both on the left) then just before the Old Crown pub turn left onto Heath Mill Lane. Head Office is situated at The Arch offices opposite St Basils Church.

By Bus: The number 97 bus stops outside the Youth Hub on Heath Mill Lane.

If it is an emergency we will see the young person the same day.  Although many cases are urgent it is deemed an emergency when the young person has no where to stay that night and without an intervention will be 'roofless'.

A young person is considered to be 'at risk of homelessness' if they will be evicted in 56 days or less. As it may take time to find alternative acccommodation please come and see us as soon as you can, even if you have longer than 56 days. We would always prefer to assist you with a 'planned move' than for you to be in a crisis situation.

Out of hours emergency phone numbers:

16&17 year olds: 0121 675 4806
18+ year olds: 0121 303 2296
