75 supporters enjoyed a day out at the rugby
16 APR 2015

On the afternoon of Saturday 28th March Worcester Warriors played London Scottish at Sixways Stadium in a nail-biting bid for the top spot in the Championship. 75 people supported the event, buying tickets for the match from St Basils.

They also enjoyed a hot buffet lunch and took part in a charity raffle where one lucky winner walked away with a fabulous Harvey Nichols food hamper generously donated by HN at the Mailbox Birmingham.

The final result of the match was Warriors 56-15 London Scottish, so this match saw the Warriors achieve an eight-try victory over London Scottish and return to the top of the Greene King IPA Championship table on the day!

Fundraising Officer Anne Morton said: “The food was good, the company was great, the weather was kind and we were treated to a Warriors win – a wonderful afternoon all round and raising funds for St Basils at the same time, what you might call ‘a result!’ all round and for just £25 per person it was great value too!”

This is just the second time that St Basils has offered this event but we hope to make this a regular addition so please keep an eye on the 'help us’ section of our website for the next season when fingers crossed the Warriors will be back in the Premiership.  Or you can fill out the ‘get involved’ form on our website and we will contact you as soon as tickets become available.
