We are proud to be part of Birmingham Changing Futures Together: bringing organisations together across the city to tackle homelessness.
Birmingham Changing Futures Together is funded by the Big Lottery Fund which was set up in February 2014. This is a £10 million programme over eight years.
The purpose is to improve the effectiveness of service provision to people with multiple and complex needs: homelessness, substance misuse, offending behaviour and mental ill health.
We at St Basils are one of 18 organisations that operate the No Wrong Door Network. Other groups include: Shelter, West Midlands Police, Birmingham Mind and the West Midlands Fire Service. This network gives people access to ‘joined-up’ services through one point of contact.
Peer Mentors, with lived experience, quickly from the trust based relationships clients need to feel safe engaging with the network,
“St Basils are proud to support the Birmingham Changing Futures Together programme and provide the Psychologically Informed Environment training and reflective practice to No Wrong Door Network members. Homelessness is everyone’s business and can only be tackled by working together in a more effective way’ – Jean Templeton, Chief Executive at St Basils
