CrowdProperty are hosting a 'Mad March' to run/jog/walk/swim over 1,250 miles in the hope that this will mean they can raise an extra £1,250 for St Basils.

Borrower Manager, Tom Edmunds (back row, fourth from the left), pledged to run the 18-mile round trip to work every day this month and following this the whole team (pictured) have made a commitment to complete 1,250 miles between them within March, aiming to raise at least £1 for every mile completed for St Basils as their charity partner.

CrowdProperty wrote on their blog at the start of the challenge;

"CrowdProperty has funded the development of over 500 Great British homes although we are just beginning our journey to unlock much needed housing supply throughout the country. There are other ways we can help people who need homes and therefore we are delighted to support St Basils to help tackle youth homelessness across the West Midlands.

As a proud, Birmingham-based business, we have been bowled over by the great work St Basils does to support over 5,000 16-25 year-olds each year who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness. This is a cause close to our hearts and aligns with our mission to support SME developers build Great British Homes.

So as a proud Birmingham based innovative business we want to give back to the community as much as possible directly as well as through worthy charity partners. Therefore, we would like to ask you to generously sponsor us for a worthy cause. As always, we will look to exceed ourselves and our personal commitments. Our excellent business practices apply to this charity initiative, with our performance being third party verified (by step counting applications) and any deviants facing penalties of £1 per mile under target. Furthermore, as always, we prefer to lead by our performance with our team already having completed 296 miles in the first 5 days of March that equates to 23.7% of our target."

One week to go! 25th March update:

With one week to go before the end of their challenge, Tom Edmunds said;

"Going into this I underestimated quite how physically challenging it would be, especially in the more adverse weather. But I’m really proud of how we’ve pulled together as a team and the effort everyone has gone to in order to cover their miles. Now I just hope we can smash our fundraising target!"
