St Basils supporter Peter Clifton, who lives in Oxfordshire just south of Banbury and turned 80 in July has decided to run the Bisley 5K on 9th October to raise funds for St Basils.
Homelessness is an issue that has long been of concern to Peter who lived most of his life in London. He volunteered for many years with his church, helping rough sleepers bedding down late at night in the Westminster area of the city. He also took part in three Sponsored SleepOuts in the Nineties to fundraise for a variety of homelessness charities.
Whilst no stranger to physical exercise, having walked to Rome when he first retired again to raise funds for homelessness charities and running long distances in his forties, his knees are not up to that now.
Peter is an avid reader of St Basils Enewsletters and particularly enjoys reading all the young people's success stories.
