Gifford Sutherland from SITRA has been training all front facing employees on Boundaries, Lone Working and Dangerous situations
The course covered a number of crucial elements and aims to make sure all employees:
The training session was designed to make employees feel more confident when lone working and in dangerous situations. The session worked with a number of working styles to ensure everyone picks the main aims up.
We caught up with trainer Gifford after his first session who said: “This type of training is essential for any organisation working with people that are vulnerable and hard to reason with. It’s as much about the employee as it is about the young person.”
The course was split up into a very short classroom session, a number of group work activities and a breakaway session where employees learned crucial techniques on how to breakaway from a dangerous situation.
Take a look at what this week’s employees said about the course:
“The course was very informative, there was lots of useful information that I’m sure will be put to good use. The content was practical and put across in a clear and informal way.” Jonathan, Rents Manager at St Basils
