Nando's managers arrange meal for young residents at emergency accommodation scheme
11 JAN 2016

On the 14th December 2015, several Nando's Managers from across Birmingham who manage nearby Nando's restaurants came to St Basils emergency accommodation scheme Yardley House to put on a meal for Young People from Yardley House and three other nearby St Basils schemes, including Albert road, Mildenhall House in Solihull and our mother and baby scheme Trentham House in Acocks Green. In total over 25 young people (and their toddlers and babies) came to the meal.

All the food was donated by Nando’s and they decorated the training room like a restaurant.

Jula Brady, Manager of Yardley House and St Basils Solihull schemes said: "The Nando's Managers did all the serving and clearing up and also mingled with the young people, it was a fabulous night and every one really enjoyed it! Nando’s have gone over and beyond with supporting us at Yardley House with donating Chicken every week for young people, and now from this two other Nando Managers have offered to start donating chicken to two other St Basils projects; Trentham House and John Austin Court in Aston.

We at Yardley House would like to say a big thank you to Nick, the Manager from the Fort Shopping centre who goes above and beyond for us here".

We would also like to thank all the Nandos managers for giving up their time, for donating the food and for their generous offer to extend their donations of Chicken to young residents at more of our accommodation schemes.
