Toiletry pack appeal (Birmingham)

Toiletry Kit appeal - Birmingham - September 2015

Some young people can't go home because the risk is too great. Young people are sometimes referred to us by other agencies to safeguard their well being and we will find somewhere safe for them to stay locally for a few days while the situation is assessed further.  However this often means they are lacking some basic essentials including toiletries. We have a shower here at our Youth Hub in Birmingham, but we are in need of new toiletries we can give to young people so they can freshen up. We are looking for donations, preferably as a pack that we could give straight to young people as they come in and they could keep for a few days.

Each pack should contain:

  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrush
  • Deodorant
  • Soap
  • Comb/ Brush
  • Flannel
  • Some sort of container even if just a shoe box.

All these items must be new.

We are also looking for donations of towels of all sizes, again these must be new. Unfortunately we are unable to take second hand towels even if they are clean. Please contact the Youth Hub on 0121 766 6907 if you can help with any of these items.

New nightclothes, slippers, slipper socks, dressing gowns and other lounge wear (eg. tracksuit bottoms) are also very much needed for our emergency nightstop schemes. Please contact the Home2Home team on 0121 772 2483 if you can help.

These kinds of donations are a real comfort for young people at what can be a very difficult time for them. Thank you for your support!
