Youth Radar – Speak Up for Change

In order that we can be sure that what we are presenting to government ministers at the Youth Homeless Parliament is truly representative, we need to gain the views of as many young people who have experienced homelessness in England as possible.
This is why St Basils Youth Voice team have launched a digital consultation across the country.

All young people aged 16-25, living in England who are or have experienced homelessness are encouraged to get involved.

The Youth Homeless Parliament 2019 digital consultation is taking place throughout February 2019 via Youth Radar. Government Ministers have asked the Youth Homeless Parliament to consult and make recommendations on these four topics:

Topic Wave 1- Universal Prevention released Mon 4thFebruary

Topic Wave 2- Targeted Prevention released Mon 11thFebruary

Topic Wave 3- Crisis Prevention released Mon 18th February

Topic Wave 4- Youth Housing Offer including: Temporary, Supported Accommodation, more settled options released Monday 25th February until Friday 1st March

NB: All four Topic wave links will remain open until 1st March 2019 to give as many young people as possible the chance to answer

Direct web links will be allocated per topic and shared via FacebookTwitterInstagram and partners, to allow young people to answer questions at their own pace, where ever they are. All responses will be collated to devise the Youth Homeless Parliament 2019 report, continuing the dialogue throughout Parliament between ministers and the YHP’s young representatives.

Together we can make a difference; the more young people involved, the louder the young homeless voice can be.

This will help us have a continually wide range of real experiences, real stories and real recommendations from those living it.
