Oddsocks theatre company gift chance to see Twelfth Night to Bromsgrove young people
04 AUG 2015

Our thanks to the wonderful people from the theatre company 'Oddsocks' who gave our young people in Bromsgrove an experience to remember!

Oddsocks are a theatre company that take classic shakespeare plays and 'reimagine' them.  This year they are touring their versions of Twelfth night and Much Ado about nothing.

As part of Oddsocks' engagement scheme 'Open Doors' our young people were invited to a recent performance of Twelfth night at Avoncroft theatre. They enjoyed an exclusive tour of the stage, and met the cast of the summer Shakespeare tour who gave them signed merchandise.

Hope Ward-Brown, young producer at Oddsocks, said: “We are overjoyed to be working with St Basils to provide this opportunity. To be able to help and support St Basils in any way we can is a real privilege".

“We were delighted to be able to offer this access all areas experience for these young people. We hope by providing this opportunity to those who wouldn’t ordinarily access theatre, it will create a lasting memory for them to share."

Leigh Hesketh, Support Manager at St Basils, said: “I cannot thank Oddsocks enough for this fantastic opportunity".

"This was a chance for the young people to experience something a bit different".

"The young people really enjoyed the performance. I would like to thank Hope for her enthusiasm in making this happen.”
