FLOATING SUPPORT WORKER

SALARY:

SCALE 5, POINTS 22-25, £19,370 - £21,244 PER ANNUM, PRO RATA

HOURS:

37.5 HOURS PER WEEK (FULL TIME)

Job Purpose

To provide a compressive Risk and Needs Assessment service, to ensure that the needs of young people are identified and address by way of accessing appropriate accommodation options. To ensure that all prevention tools are utilized to prevent the young person from having to access unsuitable or emergency accommodation.

The successful candidate should ideally be able to:

  • Work with young people and their families to enable young people to move on in planned approach and prevent homelessness.
  • Liaise direct with LocalAuthoritiesto secure suitable and sustainable supported Housing for young people in housing need.
  • Be flexible by being available out of hours on a rota basis to offer information, advice, and guidance to colleagues and in crisis situations, provide emergency cover within your own Project.
  • Promote and facilitate the participation of young people in their individual support plans and in the management of the service.
