Resident's Reps

Across all of our supported accommodations schemes, young residents have the opportunity to elect a Resident Representative to liaise and mediate with staff on their behalf and to communicate any collective concerns or ideas for improvements and negotiate changes at each project.

Both staff and young peers ensure that new Representatives have a clear understanding of the role and are adequately empowered to carry it out. Not only does this role support other residents and provide a regular line of communication between young people and St Basils operations, but it provides some valuable voluntary work experience for the Resident Representatives themselves.

It is the Residents Reps from each project who make up St Basils Youth Council.
