Chris is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and has worked in the Affordable Housing sector for 32 years, starting his career at Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council in the estate management and housing teams before a move to a Midlands based Housing Association to pursue his ambition of being involved in the development of new homes.
He has spent the last 22 years in that field, working on major housing regeneration projects across the Birmingham area before heading up an affordable housing development team in London, where he was involved in some of the Capital’s landmark projects including Battersea Nine Elms and the Royal Arsenal Riverside in Greenwich, building hundreds of new affordable homes.
He returned to working in the Midlands in 2017 as Director of Development at Midland Heart, a large regional based Housing Association managing some 33,000 homes across the West and East Midlands and building around 600 new affordable homes every year.
Chris is Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the Service Delivery and Development Committee.
