We are so grateful to all the individuals who support St Basils and our work preventing youth homelessness. Whether it be people in business or the young person who donates their pocket money to us, everyone is making a major difference to the lives of young people across the West Midlands.
However, from time to time there are individuals who go above and beyond in their support for us and we like to celebrate them as our ‘supporter of the quarter’. The supporter we’ve chosen this quarter needs no introduction. (But we will try anyway).
St Basils is pleased to offer a new service in Birmingham, called the Homeless Transition Worker Service (HTWS) to young people aged 16-25 who are moving into ‘exempt sector’ supported accommodation. This is accommodation without commissioned support from the Local Authority or a public service.
£10,000 has been raised for Birmingham-based youth homelessness charity, St Basils. The funds were donated by St Joseph, with the property company’s staff rising to the 10/10/10 challenge of travelling more than 10 million steps in 10 days.
