“Coming to St Basils has really helped me. My support worker in particular has been great – she’s supported me and pushed me to be the best I can be. I’m really proud to have got this job!”.

Investing in young people's futures

How your money helps us

We know that when you are thinking about donating to a charity, you want to be sure your money is going to something worthwhile.

At St Basils, you aren’t just giving money, you are investing in the future of the West Midlands and the young people who live here.

It costs us £5 per young person per day in order for a young person to stay at a St Basils project. This makes sure we can keep providing the support required to prevent homelessness being a part of their lives again.

The cost of a young person going through our employability program is £125. The skills learned on this program get young people ready for work so that they can make their own money and not have to rely on us or anyone again.

Donating items

Unfortunately we cannot accept donations of unsolicited items at our Head Office or Youth Hubs. Instead we have a wish list of items we are in need of, updated on at least a monthly basis and also shared via appeals on our social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Linkedin.

It’s costs us money to get rid of items we cannot use so please click on the link below to view what we are in need of. Thank you for your understanding and support.

*How is the £5 ask calculated?

If we had no fundraising, our 2021/22 budgeted deficit would be some £669K which works out at £3.45 per day per occupied room. A contribution to our capital costs has been added of £1.55 for the purpose of making a clear request of what we need to keep going.
