St Basils is seeking a Director/Trustee to join its Board. St Basils is a charity and registered social housing provider that supports young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness.
The role:
As a member of St Basils’ Board, you will be a guardian of St Basils’ charitable purpose. You will be responsible for holding the Senior Leadership Team to account through constructive challenge and for ensuring St Basils’ strategic priorities are met. You will form part of St Basils’ good governance function which involves having an oversight of key business areas, such as safeguarding, risk, finance, health and safety and business development. St Basils has adopted the Race Equality Code of Governance.
This role will support our Business Support and Audit Committee.
We would especially welcome your application if you have experience in any of the following areas:
- Criminal Justice System
- Housing
- Health & Social Care
- Children’s Social Care Services
- ICT
The role is voluntary and non-remunerated, however reasonable expenses will be paid as required for your work as a Director.
It is important that our Board reflects the communities and young people we serve. Our Board currently has under-representation from the Black community and therefore we particularly welcome expressions of interest from Black candidates.
