We are touched to hear that a young supporter who is only 7 has pledged to take part in a triathlon in order to raise funds for St Basils!
Charlotte’s mum Susie got in touch with us saying she made the pledge after staff and a young resident from St Basils visited her school in Sutton Coldfield; “She was sad to learn about homelessness and wants to do something to help.”
The triathlon is called the Ultimate UK Kids Fun Triathlon and the age range of participants is 7-16 years. The event which takes place on Saturday 2nd June starts with a swim in open water followed by a cycle ride and then a run: https://www.uktriathlon.co.uk/uk-kids/uk-kids-fun-ultimate-triathlon
Charlotte has taken part in running events before but never a triathlon.
Her friends and family will be helping her achieve her £100 fundraising target: https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/susienicholas5
St Basils Business and Communities Executive Sian Dhillon said: “What a brave and kind child! Please let her know how very honoured we are that she is doing something so special for the young people we support”.
