Your group could host a harvest themed fair. Invite local farmshops, orchards, butchers or bakers to hire a table at your event selling their local produce. Offer harvest themed activities for families to participate in; scarecrow trails, apple bobbing, an autumnal scavenger hunt etc.

Turn your craft into a fundraiser! Are you a nifty knitter, a creative jeweller or delicious jam maker? Why not create and sell your handmade items, host craft workshops, or even organize a craft sale or auction as a fundraising event. It’s a great way to bring together your local community, meet with fellow crafters, discover new hobbies and share your skills!

Charge a fee to enter and display all the creations along a trail or at your meeting place. Ask the public to vote for their favourite one as they enjoy the display. Why not incorporate some classic harvest activities into your event to boost your fundraising like apple bobbing or a lucky dip in a crate of hay?

Who doesn’t love a good dress up party?! Consider your target audience and appropriate the event accordingly…whether you’re hiring a venue, or hosting at home or your workplace, consider selling tickets for your party and be sure to encourage some frightful fancy dress. Provide some horrifying Halloween themed snacks and a prize for the most hair raising costume! How about a disco for children, a murder mystery party for teens, or a halloween ball for adults...

November 5th- Bonfire Night- A great opportunity for a fundraising event if you have the space available. Invite your local community, family, friends or group to a bonfire night in support of St Basils! Serve up some heart-warming food and sell toffee apples and sparklers at your event.
