Charlotte of Painters Law Runs 65 Miles for St Basils

Meet Charlotte Miltiadou, pictured, a solicitor at Painters Law LLP, who specializes in Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Trust Registrations. But that’s not all she’s passionate about. Charlotte is also a huge running fan with a particular interest in trail running. She loves exploring off-road running through the beautiful countryside in Worcestershire. When she’s not running, Charlotte enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.

But Charlotte’s love for running goes beyond just a hobby. As a representative of Painters Law LLP, she has taken up the challenge to run for St Basils, as the firm’s charity partner. St Basils works with young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and helps them find a home while enabling them to develop their skills. Charlotte is proud to support this cause and has been fundraising as much as she can for St Basils.

For Charlotte, running is not just about staying fit and healthy; it’s a way of life. After having children, she tried different types of exercises but once she tried running, she was instantly hooked. She enjoys being outdoors and exploring new places. While she mainly runs for pleasure and adventure, she also enters races where her training becomes more focused. She has run a few trail marathons and ultra marathons and is currently training for her biggest race yet, a 65-mile run around the Isle of Wight on April 29th.

This is a massive challenge, and Charlotte has been training hard since the New Year, focusing her training on being able to complete the run. She is now coming towards the end of her training block, having just completed her longest training run of 27 miles. She will soon be entering a taper period where she will reduce her training and rest her legs before the big day. She admits to being nervous, but also excited as it will be a massive achievement and her longest race yet.

If you’re a runner looking to take on a challenge for a good cause, Charlotte has some words of encouragement for you. “Challenging ourselves can be a great way to raise valuable funds for charity and raise awareness of the work the charity does. Remember to train sensibly, build distance slowly, and also have fun along the way.”

Charlotte’s team at Painters Law LLP are incredibly proud of her for taking on this challenge and running on behalf of one of the firm’s charity partners. They believe that the drive and determination needed to complete this event are symbolic of the firm’s values and the high standards that its staff are proud to maintain.

We all wish Charlotte the best of luck!
