Sleep rough for one night in Birmingham City Centre so a young person doesn’t have to.
Since 1990, the Big Sleepout has been St Basils’ flagship fundraising event, bringing together hundreds of incredible people every year to raise vital funds and awareness for youth homelessness in the West Midlands.
On Friday 28th November 2025, we’re celebrating the 35th Big Sleepout — and we’d love for you to be part of it!
Your night under the stars will help St Basils continue supporting over 4,000 young people each year with accommodation, advice, and opportunities for the future. See below for our impacts last year:
Location: Millennium Point, Birmingham
Time: Doors open at 6pm – event runs until 6am
Entertainment:
You’ll be given a cardboard box to build your shelter for the night. Bring extra cardboard, warm clothes, a sleeping bag, and a sense of creativity!
Everyone is welcome.
✔ You’ll be sleeping outside so dress warmly and bring waterproofs.
✔ No alcohol or pets allowed on-site (guide dogs permitted with prior arrangement).
✔ Free food and hot drinks provided.
✔ Security and First Aiders on site all night.
✔ Entry closes at 10pm- no late admissions.
Registration is free, and all we ask is that you try to reach your target to help prevent youth homelessness. Once you register, your fundraising page will be automatically set up to make sharing easy.
