We’re asking our supporters to create their own gift bag or shoebox, filled with five items that our Young People can enjoy over the holidays.
To help us make sure our Young People receive gifts that are as fair and equal as possible, we’ve put together five simple categories for you to choose from. This also helps us make sure we have a good mix of useful items, festive treats and something fun to open, while giving us the best chance of providing a gift to all 900 Young People so no one misses out.
We’d love your gift to include one item from each of these categories:
• Toiletries: shower gel, moisturiser or a toiletry set.
• Warm & cosy: fluffy socks, gloves, a hat or scarf.
• Christmas treats: chocolate, sweets, biscuits or hot chocolate sachets
• Something practical: a notebook, nice pens, a water bottle or a travel mug.
• A small present: such as a puzzle book, playing cards, self-care item or fidget toy.
The age of our Young People are 16 to 25. If you have toys to donate, our mother and baby projects include children aged 0 to 2yrs.
Next Steps!
This is a great opportunity to get your team, colleagues, friends or family involved. You could each create your own gift box or bag, or bulk-buy some of the items and turn it into a festive team activity.
We also have a shareable poster available, so you can encourage your colleagues and wider networks to get involved too!
When you’re ready to drop off your gifts, please email: fundraising@stbasils.org.uk
Please note: We kindly ask that you leave your gift bag or shoebox easy to open, so our team can quickly check the contents before they are distributed. This helps us make sure each gift is suitable for the Young Person.
