Educating children on Homelessness

The effects of the rising costs of living and resulting housing crisis are becoming increasingly evident with many families and children living in temporary accommodation. The need to raise awareness and educate students that are children and young people about current social issues like homelessness has never been more paramount.

St Basils has created a free Schools Pack filled with resources to help Key Stage 2 pupils learn about homelessness in a sensitive, age-appropriate way. It consists of 5 curriculum linked lesson plans that aim to spark empathy, reduce stigma, and inspire kindness.
