Celebrating our YouCan employability service on World Youth Skills Day

Did you know unemployment disproportionately effects young people? The youth unemployment rate for 2020 was 12.5% and has continued to rise. This compares to 4.9% for over 25s. On World Youth Skills Day we just want to celebrate our #YouCan employability service and all it aims to achieve for our young people.

This service is available to all our 1,500 young residents and helps them develop the skills needed for work including Teamwork, Problem Solving, Building Confidence and Creating a Career Portfolio, the workshops for which can thankfully take place in person once more, bringing young people living at each project together.
We also have a whole host of partners in key industries that we work with to help young people who have been homeless or at risk to access employment opportunities which can really help them move on with their lives.
Today is also Social Media Giving Day! Can you show your support for this service and help some of the most disadvantaged young people in your community by making a small donation today? ❤
