First class support from the Post

A huge thank you to The Birmingham Post and all the Businesses that generously donated their Christmas card budget instead of sending out Christmas cards. If you would like to do this for Christmas 2020, please get in touch.

‘Your cards in the Post’; Over £2000 raised from corporate Christmas Cards to help prevent youth homelessness.

The money raised will really help tackle the issues of Homelessness and help prevent many young vulnerable people in 2020.

This year, 2019, has seen a significant increase in homelessness in the West Midlands where more than
400 people are estimated to be sleeping rough on any given night. A number of factors are contributing to this crisis: financial pressures, family breakdowns, lack of affordable housing, an increase in mental health issues, among others.

St Basils Chief Executive Jean Templeton said “We would like to say a huge thank you to all the companies that have supported ‘Your card’s in The Post’, and to Marc Reeves, midlands editor-inChief, and all the staff at The Birmingham Post who made this possible.”

“We are delighted by the response once again to our Christmas card campaign. What a wonderful way for companies to use their Christmas card budget to wish their clients and contacts a happy Christmas – but also help the most vulnerable in our society at the same time. “Thank you so much to everyone who supported it. It really does make a difference.”

If your company would like to get involved in the Christmas 2020 campaign please email St Basils – fundraising@stbasils.org.uk

Thank you!
