Paragon Bank volunteers tidied emergency schemes’ garden for young residents to enjoy!

A huge thank you to the staff team at Paragon Bank who came and helped tidy the garden at St Basils Emergency accommodation scheme Yardley House, meaning residents can enjoy it once more!

Yardley House asked for furniture and a shed to be sanded and painted, the overgrown foliage to be tidied up, some garden beds to be weeded and replanted, and the patio area to be jet washed.

The team of nine employeeShed before and afters from the Group Finance department volunteered to spend the day at Yardley House and between them completed all the work to a very high standard.

A representative from Paragon Bank commented;

“The team had previously been working from home since the start of the pandemic and this was the first day that they had been able to work together, face-to-face, since then. It was a fabulous team building exercise where they were able to share gardening tips, they had the chance to talk socially and support each other with the tasks.”

Jula Brady, Manager of Yardley House, said:

“We would all like to say how grateful we are for you and your team coming out to do our communal garden. All the young people commented afterwards about how lovely it looked. You all worked so hard and are always welcome back.”
