Introduction
As coronavirus continues to take hold across the country it is impacting us in ways we never thought possible. People are rightly concerned as to what the impact is going to be, whether it be financial, their health and their own quality of life.
St Basils youth homelessness charity, like many charities across the country are faced with increasingly tough choices. As the coronavirus situation evolves, people are being encouraged to work from home, self-isolate and practice social distancing. As a result many of our charity events, used as vital tools to raise much needed funds, have been cancelled or delayed. This is leaving a huge hole in the finances we require to deliver our important services.
But the important, vital work we do with young homeless people continues, and we still need to raise these much needed funds.
How you can help
Many of our wonderful fundraisers are asking how they can help from home.
With this in mind we would like to encourage our fabulous supporters working from home to join in and post a #WFHwardrobe selfie on their social channels and donate £5 to our cause.
Barrie Hodge head of communications and fundraising at St Basils said:
“These are strange times we are living in. But, the work that St Basils does to help young people in the West Midlands continues, regardless. This fundraiser is designed to help lighten the mood a little and embrace those people working from home at the moment. We know money is short but, if you can donate, it will make such a positive impact to young people who may not have somewhere to self-isolate at the moment.”

#WFHwardrobe What are you wearing that you couldn’t usually wear to the office? The sillier the better!
Post your WFH selfie with the hashtag. Tag your colleagues and St Basils, then donate £5 to help us support those who can’t work from home.
It costs St Basils Homelessness charity £5 per day to accommodate and support a homeless young person. Please donate so they have a safe place to isolate too.
