All of their fundraising efforts will be in aid of St Basils, and will support over 4,000 young people across the West Midlands who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
During 2022, Richborough Estates will donate £5 for every new home that they secure planning permission on. Each £5 will fund a days stay for a young person at one of St Basils 42 locations across the West Midlands. They will also be taking part in St Basils’ brilliant programme of fundraising events throughout the year.
The planning and housebuilding industry are a kind and generous bunch, and their calling on everyone to get behind their fundraising campaign. Here’s how:
- Donate to their Just Giving page which will be live throughout the whole of 2022: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/richboroughestates
- Help out with St Basils’ extensive capital works programme for its 42 locations across the West Midlands. This could include projects as small as replacing doors and fencing to kitchen and bathroom fitouts. For a copy of the capital works programme, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Paul Campbell, Chief Executive at Richborough Estates, said:
“We’re really proud to partner with St Basils for 2022 and support the vital work it does. This year looks set to be our busiest yet and we expect to raise thousands of pounds through our £5 planning permission pledge as well as other fundraising activities.
“But as the saying goes, we’re better together, so we would love to see support from our industry colleagues to really ramp up our fundraising efforts and make a difference for these young people in need.”
Head of fundraising and communication at St Basils, Barrie Hodge, said:
“We are thrilled that Richborough Estates has chosen to support St Basils throughout 2022.
Our focus here at St Basils is trying to prevent people becoming homeless, through family mediation where relationships have broken down or working with other providers to find other accommodation if they can’t stay at home. We also have the St Basils outreach teams who go out into the community and the streets of Birmingham to provide crisis support.
The funds raised by Richborough Estates will really make a a huge difference in our community, so on behalf of everyone here at St Basils – thank you.”
