“Our blisters and aching muscles have (almost) healed, but your incredible generosity continues!
We’re thrilled to have now raised more than £8,000 for St Basils, after taking part in the charity’s annual Hike for Homeless event in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside.
The funds will enable the Birmingham-based charity to help more than 1,600 young people out of homelessness – at a cost of £5 per day.
Paul Campbell, Chief Executive at Richborough Estates said: “A massive thank you to everyone who has donated, and a special mention to Redrow for their very generous sponsorship.
“We’re really proud to be able to support St Basils’ work to help young people find and keep a home.
“Well done to all our hikers too. I was part of our 24-mile team and it was tough going as well as a brilliant experience. We’re already planning for next year’s event.”
Richborough Estates entered two teams into the 6 and 24-mile events. Our hikers were: Paul Campbell, Dean Knight, Charlotte Lewis and her dog Molly, Briony Stenhouse, Marc Wilson, Nick Jones and Tom Ball.”
