University of Birmingham student’s Vale Festival raises over £10K for St Basils!

Vale Fest 2019 not only raised a lot of money for St Basils but a lot of awareness of our services amongst young people.

We’d like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all the University of Birmingham student’s involved in Vale Fest! 👏

Every year a charitable summer music and arts festival takes place on the Vale at the University of Birmingham. Unlike other music festivals, it is planned, organised and largely staffed by volunteer students – it is believed to be the largest solely student-organised event in the UK.

Yesterday St Basils received a donation handover of £10,338.33 raised from the event. We are absolutely delighted that so many young people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless will be impacted by this generous amount of support.

Not only that, we think this event did a lot to raise awareness of our services on social media networks that young people use, therefore spreading the word about our services advising and helping young people even further.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE INVOLVED! 👏🤝🤘🏽
