St Basil’s has an exciting opportunity for a Homeless Prevention Coordinator to work with young people to enable them to find and keep a home; develop their confidence, skills and opportunities and to prevent homelessness. This is a full time, Fixed Term position for a period of 12 months, based at our Birmingham Youth Hub.

 

Salary: £25,314 – £26,988 Per Annum, Pro rata

 

Closing Date: 1st March, Midday

The purpose of this role is to coordinate and lead on the delivery of a Homeless Prevention Service within Birmingham Youth Hubs, with a clear focus on; Information, Advice and Guidance, Housing Needs Assessments, Prevention and Relief Duties and Statutory Notifications. The post holder will be responsible for managing a Homeless Prevention team with specific focus on overseeing the Information, Advice and Guidance contract and working in partnership with the Local Authority and other organisations with the aim of reducing the flow of youth homelessness.

The main focus of the BYH service is to provide the single point of access for all young people aged 16 to 24, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

 

This will be provided through:

  • Co-ordinated quality assessment process,
  • Development of comprehensive assessments
  • Offering homeless prevention (to include mediation and home visits) and Relief Duties
  • Co-ordinated case management/ support with complex cases through partnership working with relevant agencies.
  • Ensuring appropriate support is achieved and maintained suitable outcomes.
  • Liaising with statutory services

St Basil’s has an exciting opportunity for a Homeless Prevention Coordinator to work with young people to enable them to find and keep a home; develop their confidence, skills and opportunities and to prevent homelessness. This is a full time, Fixed Term position for a period of 12 months, based at our Birmingham Youth Hub.

 

Salary: £25,314 – £26,988 Per Annum, Pro rata

 

Closing Date: 1st March, Midday

The purpose of this role is to coordinate and lead on the delivery of a Homeless Prevention Service within Birmingham Youth Hubs, with a clear focus on; Information, Advice and Guidance, Housing Needs Assessments, Prevention and Relief Duties and Statutory Notifications. The post holder will be responsible for managing a Homeless Prevention team with specific focus on overseeing the Information, Advice and Guidance contract and working in partnership with the Local Authority and other organisations with the aim of reducing the flow of youth homelessness.

The main focus of the BYH service is to provide the single point of access for all young people aged 16 to 24, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

 

This will be provided through:

  • Co-ordinated quality assessment process,
  • Development of comprehensive assessments
  • Offering homeless prevention (to include mediation and home visits) and Relief Duties
  • Co-ordinated case management/ support with complex cases through partnership working with relevant agencies.
  • Ensuring appropriate support is achieved and maintained suitable outcomes.
  • Liaising with statutory services
