Homeless Transition Worker

St Basils has an opportunity for a Homeless Transition Worker in Birmingham on a Fixed Term Contract until the end of March 2022, working 18.75 hours per week.  You will work closely with other Hubs in the city to ensure that the young people have a smooth transition into their accommodation and that they have the right to sustain their tenancy.

 

Salary: £22,824 – £24,350 Per annum, Pro rata

 

Closing date: 6th August, midday

The Homeless Transition Worker forms part of the Advice and Wellbeing Hub pathway for young people ages 16-25. The main focus of this role will be to provide targeted support to young people at crucial points of transition to aid engagement and sustaining non-commissioned accommodation including TA and exempt supported accommodation. To ensure that the accommodation being referred to is suitable for the young person’s needs and in line with the City’s quality standards.  

 

This will be provided through:   

  • Support to ensure young people move in to and settle in to their non – commissioned accommodation.   
  • To ensure that the accommodation is suitable for young person and that there is suitable support in place. 
  • Signpost to other support services where required for additional or ongoing support and advocate on behalf of the young person. 

 

You will have experience of working with young people in one or more of the following settings:

Youth Work, Residential or Social Work, Probation, Community Work, Education and Training, Housing.

The Homeless Transition Worker forms part of the Advice and Wellbeing Hub pathway for young people ages 16-25. The main focus of this role will be to provide targeted support to young people at crucial points of transition to aid engagement and sustaining non-commissioned accommodation including TA and exempt supported accommodation. To ensure that the accommodation being referred to is suitable for the young person’s needs and in line with the City’s quality standards.

The Homeless Transition Worker forms part of the Advice and Wellbeing Hub pathway for young people ages 16-25. The main focus of this role will be to provide targeted support to young people at crucial points of transition to aid engagement and sustaining non-commissioned accommodation including TA and exempt supported accommodation. To ensure that the accommodation being referred to is suitable for the young person’s needs and in line with the City’s quality standards.  

 

This will be provided through:   

  • Support to ensure young people move in to and settle in to their non – commissioned accommodation.   
  • To ensure that the accommodation is suitable for young person and that there is suitable support in place. 
  • Signpost to other support services where required for additional or ongoing support and advocate on behalf of the young person. 

 

You will have experience of working with young people in one or more of the following settings:

St Basils has an opportunity for a Homeless Transition Worker in Birmingham on a 12 months fixed term contract, working 37.5 hours per week.  This is a newly created role and it is expected that you will work closely with other Hubs in the city to ensure that the young people have a smooth transition into their accommodation and that they have the right to sustain their tenancy.

 

Salary: £22,824 – £24,350 Per annum, Pro rata

 

Closing date: 13th January, Midday

The Homeless Transition Worker forms part of the Advice and Wellbeing Hub pathway for young people ages 16-25. The main focus of this role will be to provide targeted support to young people at crucial points of transition to aid engagement and sustaining non-commissioned accommodation including TA and exempt supported accommodation. To ensure that the accommodation being referred to is suitable for the young person’s needs and in line with the City’s quality standards.  

 

This will be provided through:   

  • Support to ensure young people move in to and settle in to their non – commissioned accommodation.   
  • To ensure that the accommodation is suitable for young person and that there is suitable support in place. 
  • Signpost to other support services where required for additional or ongoing support and advocate on behalf of the young person. 

 

You will have experience of working with young people in one or more of the following settings:

Youth Work, Residential or Social Work, Probation, Community Work, Education and Training, Housing.
