Are you a HR Generalist ready to take on a management role in a fast-paced Charity? Do you enjoy a varied workload?  If so, this could be the role for you! 

 

We have a great opportunity for a HR Manager to join our team. You will report to the Head of HR and you will manage a small team of HR Administrators.

 

You will take a lead role in our resourcing strategy helping the charity to attract and retain the best people. You will be responsible for multiple aspects of the Human Resources function ensuring St Basils provides the best employee experience.

 

You will champion St Basils company values through strong leadership and inspirational behaviour as well as being a visible, approachable, and highly effective presence across St Basils, providing support and advice to line managers.

 

This is a full time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week.

 

The role will be a mix of home working and travelling to sites across the West Midlands as required.

 

Salary: £28,603 – £30,825

 

Closing date: 23rd March, midday

St Basils works with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping over 5000 young people per year across the West Midlands region with specific services in Birmingham, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, the Wyre Forest and Coventry. 

 

Key activities specific to the role include:

  • Create and implement talent initiatives and an employer brand which corresponds to St Basils’ culture and values ensuring that St Basils is viewed as an employer of choice
  • Take responsibility for our resourcing strategy and work with HR colleagues to ensure continuous support throughout employment, apprenticeships, students and volunteering whilst understanding diversity and how this impacts and connects with resourcing
  • Manage relationships and influence external stakeholders to source the best candidates for required roles, ensure cost targets are met and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager–Performance to have an effective induction programme
  • Monitor operational performance and report on trends, provide feedback and make recommendations

The ideal person will be able to demonstrate:

  • A solid track record in HR as well as leading on sometimes complex employee issues and change management, including TUPE transfer
  • A great understanding of employment legislation and the ability to advise and guide process and procedures
  • You will have achieved a minimum level 5 CIPD qualification.

You will champion St Basils company values through strong leadership and inspirational behaviour as well as being a visible, approachable, and highly effective presence across St Basils, providing support and advice to line managers.

 

This is a full time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week.

 

The role will be a mix of home working and travelling to sites across the West Midlands as required.

 

Salary: £28,603 – £30,825

St Basils works with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping over 5000 young people per year across the West Midlands region with specific services in Birmingham, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, the Wyre Forest and Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to help support the needs of young people within a new St Basils service.

Key activities specific to the role include:

  • Create and implement talent initiatives and an employer brand which corresponds to St Basils’ culture and values ensuring that St Basils is viewed as an employer of choice
  • Take responsibility for our resourcing strategy and work with HR colleagues to ensure continuous support throughout employment, apprenticeships, students and volunteering whilst understanding diversity and how this impacts and connects with resourcing
  • Manage relationships and influence external stakeholders to source the best candidates for required roles, ensure cost targets are met and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager–Performance to have an effective induction programme
  • Monitor operational performance and report on trends, provide feedback and make recommendations

The ideal person will be able to demonstrate:

  • A solid track record in HR as well as leading on sometimes complex employee issues and change management, including TUPE transfer
  • A great understanding of employment legislation and the ability to advise and guide process and procedures
  • You will have achieved a minimum level 5 CIPD qualification.
