Team Leader – Kidderminster

St Basils has an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader based in Kidderminster, responsible for leading a small team of Progression Coaches and Housing Management Officers.

St Basils works with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping over 5000 young people per year across the West Midlands region with specific services in Birmingham, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, the Wyre Forest and Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to build relationships with local key stakeholders and current funders to ensure St Basils continue to offer and excellent service to young people.

Key activities specific to the role include:

  • Lead the team to deliver a service that meets the best practice standard
  • To ensure a supportive and safe environment for young people.
  • Work closely with Property Service colleagues to ensure that the scheme is well maintained and is physically and financially sustainable.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NVQ 4 in Care, Advice and Guidance or other relevant subject
  • Experience of working within the following areas: Youth Work, Residential or Social Work, Probation/Criminal justice, Community Work, Education and Training, housing or support work.
  • Experience of managing a team.

  • Competitive salary of £27,236 – £28,835 per annum, pro rata
  • 28 days annual leave, plus 8 Statutory Bank holidays per annum, pro rata.
