This Giving Tuesday, we have temporarily borrowed websites all over the UK and further afield to tell you a little more about us. Thanks for clicking!

St Basils works with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, to enable them to find and keep a home, grow their confidence, develop their skills, increase opportunities and ultimately, prevent homelessness.

Since 1972, we have helped over 100,000 young people in the West Midlands with housing, confidence building, employability skills, and mental health assistance, as well as other services provided such as mediation and substance support.

Here’s a video of some of our young people chatting about their experiences with us:

Why today? Well, Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the last decade, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

As a charity, we are short of £5 a day for each young person that stays with us. That means that today alone, we are short of £4,295 to home the young people within our supported accommodation schemes. We are challenging you this Giving Tuesday to help us, by either donating, joining one of our amazing and fun events, or spreading the word by following us on socials/ signing up to our newsletter.
