Help us to continue our work making a difference by organising or taking part in a fundraising activity.

Every year, we support approximately 4,000 young people aged 16-25 at risk of, or experiencing homelessness. Your contribution counts, and together, we can provide essential accommodation and support to those in need.

Take a look at our favourite fundraisers below and when you’re ready, set up a fundraising page to collect your donations, or get in touch with us at fundraising@stbasils.org.uk for further advice and support.

Some ideas to get you started:

Wear It Red

Simply host your own school or workplace Wear It Red Day, where everyone makes a donation to St Basils to wear something Red, raising awareness of homelessness. You can make it as fun as you like- think red wigs, hats, clothing, or cosmetics. Or you could ditch your usual uniform with an alternative theme- like pyjama or superhero day.

Daily Challenges

Set yourself a daily challenge for the month, whether its to meet your 10k steps goal, run 5k every day, swim 10x lengths every day or 100 squats per day. Get friends and family to support and sponsor you along the way, test your endurance and see your stamina develop.

Easter Egg Fun

Organise an egg hunt for your group, or have an egg decorating competition. You could charge an entry fee for children to take part, create a treasure hunt of clues to find around your grounds and they could collect their egg as a prize at the end. Or if decorating, offer a prize for best egg.

Break the Rules Day

Give students the opportunity to break some school rules for the day charging a small fee for each one they break …Come up with a fun list of ideas to encourage kids to get involved: Silly hair, Odd socks, bring in a treat for break, switch out an item of uniform, wear trainers, bring a toy etc

Kick the Habit

With Lent approaching, why not challenge yourself to give something up from March 5th to April 19th? Whether it's chocolate, meat, shopping, gaming, or social media, take the opportunity to break a habit. You could donate the money saved from your habit, or get sponsored for your efforts.

Sleepout or Sleep-in

Host a Sleepout or Sleep-in event to raise funds and awareness for youth homelessness. Spend a night outdoors in a secure location or camp in your garden, charging a participation fee and seeking sponsorship. For an indoor option, hold a Sleep-in at a school hall or meeting space, featuring a shelter-building competition, prizes, and hot chocolate and marshmallows!

Bake Sale

Host a coffee morning and cake sale anywhere—at school, work, or home! Gather friends, colleagues, or family for a cuppa and a chat while supporting a great cause. Encourage cake donations or turn it into a bake-off competition with a vote for the favorite treat!

Quiz Night

Test your knowledge and organise a quiz night! Charge teams or individuals an entry fee and offer a prize for the winners. Sell drinks and snacks as an additional way to raise funds!
