Help us to continue our work making a difference by organising or taking part in a fundraising activity.

Every year, we support approximately 4,000 young people aged 16-25 at risk of, or experiencing homelessness. Your contribution counts, and together, we can provide essential accommodation and support to those in need.

Take a look at our favourite fundraisers below and when you’re ready, set up a fundraising page to collect your donations, or get in touch with us at fundraising@stbasils.org.uk for further advice and support.

Some ideas to get you started:

Afternoon Tea party

Bring family, friends and your community together for an afternoon tea in support of St Basils. Host it at home, work, a community centre or village hall, depending on the number of guests. Promote your event locally and sell tickets to help plan catering. To raise even more funds, consider adding activities such as table games, a raffle or a silent auction.

Scavenger Hunts

Make the most of the outdoors this summer by organising a scavenger hunt in your local area. It’s a fun way to explore your environment, spend time together, and raise funds. You could run it as a family activity or a group event, charging a small entry fee or asking for donations for each clue solved. Choose a theme such as nature, minibeasts, landmarks or the seaside, and include clues, riddles and games to make it fun for all ages. Add a competitive twist with prizes for the winning team or whoever solves the most clues.

Summer Fair

Host a fundraising stall in aid of St Basils at your local summer fair. You could run simple games like a tombola, lucky dip or coconut shy, or sell homemade treats such as lemonade, cakes, plants or preserves. It’s a great way to get involved with your community, raise awareness of youth homelessness and support a great cause.

Walk-A-Thon

Organise a charity walkathon in support of St Basils and encourage friends, family or colleagues to get involved. Choose a local route, set a distance goal and ask participants to raise sponsorship for taking part. You could make it extra fun with themed outfits, team challenges or prizes for top fundraisers. It’s a great way to stay active, bring people together and raise vital funds for young people facing homelessness.
