eBay

Selling through eBay is a great way to raise vital funds. So if you’ve had a clear out and don’t know what to do with your unwanted things, why not sell them on eBay and donate a percentage of your sales to St Basils?

That way, every item you sell can help us support Young People who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless within the West Mids.

Step one – Clear out your cupboards, garage or loft to find your unwanted belongings. Make sure you’re happy to sell them and they’re yours to sell.

Step two – List your unwanted things on eBay and make sure you click ‘donate a portion to charity’. Choose St Basils as your chosen charity and select how much of the sale you would like to donate.

Step three – When your item sells, your donation will come directly to St Basils through the PayPal Giving Fund. You’ll receive a donation receipt from eBay to confirm this.

Thrift+

Did you know 73% of used clothes are sent to landfill or are incinerated?

Thrift+ is putting an end to fashion waste by making it easier to re-sell than to discard…

Order a Thrift+ bag for £1.50, fill it up with clothes, shoes, accessories and send it back for free. Once Thrift+ has received your bag, the team sort through and take photos of each item. It then goes up for sale on their website and also eBay too.

When your items begin to sell, you can choose how you receive the funds. This includes you keeping 100% of the profit, donating 100% of the profit to a charity – or choosing to split the profit between the two.

If you decide to donate to charity, please consider choosing St Basils! Any donation made, big or small, will make a difference to our Young People, thank you.

Text Donations

You can now donate to St Basils by text! There’s the option to give a one-off donation or set up regular monthly donations. You could ask your friends, family or colleagues to send a text donation over buying you a celebratory greeting card or a birthday drink.
