We'd like to thank various local organisations and companies who have made generous financial donations to us recently:
Aid for Humanity UK held a gala dinner on 12th November in partnership with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, to raise money for St Basils' work with homeless young people and SIFA Fireside's work with older homeless and vulnerable adults.
They raised a grand total of £6500 to be split between the two charities, donating £3250 to St Basils.
We are hugely grateful to them for their efforts and for raising this terrific amount for St Basils!
Back in the autumn Accountancy firm JW Hinks handed over a cheque for £4,500, after making St Basils their charity of the year.
They took part in our 13 mile St Basils Rutland Challenge walk, a 12,500 ft tandem skydive, the Great Birmingham run, a Halloween bake-off and a festive fashion event to raise this fantastic total!
And then there's the lovely Des Ponsonby (pictured), Managing Director of Corporate Solutions Logistics in Solihull who just decided to drop in this cheque for £1000 to us last month! He's clearly very passionate about helping homeless young people and understands well the 'cycle of homelessness' that can so easily trap young people.
Wonderful to meet you Des and thanks for the donation! Basil was very pleased to receive it!
