Local artist, Sarah Taylor Silverwood (instagram:@sarahtaylorsilverwood), who is based on Fazeley Street in Digbeth, just a few short metres from St Basils HQ, has pledged to raise funds for St Basils ‘£5 a night appeal’ by selling her ‘Small Ads’ illustrations for £10 each with 50% from every sale coming to St Basils. She has 100 prints to sell so is hoping she might be able to raise around £500.
Sarah does this for different charities every 5 years but the prints change each time as they are made up of illustrated adverts submitted by people in Birmingham! The submissions have included secret messages, genuine adverts, jokes, and political slogans.
