Birmingham charity ‘Love Brum’ ran a campaign in the run up to Christmas called #BagsforBrummies. This campaign asked supporters to buy items from their wishlist which would then be compiled into bags of essentials plus a few treats to help Birmingham’s homeless community.
The wishlist included items such as toiletries and warm clothing as well as treats such as chocolate and small presents.
The donations were taken by our Birmingham Outreach team and the bags handed out to those who most need them, young people we are supporting whom have been sleeping rough.
Outreach team leader Vanessa said: “The fact that it was new items was really lovely, just something about being able to give a young person something that only they have owned – the look on their faces was wonderful.”
