Paramo Lounge Solihull supported emergency accommodation residents in lockdown 3 with weekly hot meals

We’d like to say a big thank you to a local restaurant, Paramo Lounge, located at 40 High Street in Solihull, for supporting us by cooking wonderful hot meals and delivering them to our young residents during lockdown 3.

The staff at Paramo Lounge – Owen, Adam and Russell – decided to put their spare time to good use, by cooking up wonderful meals every Thursday for 16 young people living at our emergency accommodation scheme in Yardley. The team started this wonderful initiative early February 2021 and continued until the end of April as restrictions started to lift once more.

Paramo Lounge chef with his creationAnnouncing their plans through an Instagram post, General Manager Owen said:

“It seems a waste to have all this free time and great facilities and not use them for good!”

General Manager Owen also advertised to their customers and followers that they had set up a ‘Go Fund Me’ page for the initiative, setting a target of £100. The page has already raised almost 3 times as much at just under £300!

Manager of our Yardley emergency accommodation scheme Jula Brady said:Paramo Lounge delivering the food

“We all really appreciated the support from Paramo Lounge and would like to pass on our heartfelt thanks! The food that they produce is absolutely fantastic, so it was a great treat for our young people to have hot restaurant standard food delivered to them free of charge. They looked forward to it every week!”
