Just Over Three Weeks To Go...

Hi {First Name} and {Name Of Dog},

I’m Levi, a three-year-old cockapoo who is a Woof Run EXPERT. I have taken part in the Woof Run before and my human has asked me to tell you all about it so you can be ready for the big day…

I have lots of cool stuff to tell you, so please look out for weekly emails from me, telling you all about the fun you can expect.

My friends at St Basils also have some things to tell you too, about your fundraising page and the very good work they do to support younger humans who don’t have a place to call home.

There are some questions the Team get asked a lot about on the Woof Run webpage here. But even better, you can watch my friend (greyhound and retired athlete) Phoebe’s human, Barrie talk about one of the previous Woof Runs on this very cool YouTube video. I’m also in it lots so you should definitely watch it.

I have to go and look out for squirrels now, so I’m going to pass you to my human to tell you some things about your Enthuse page.

Your Fundraising Page…

A fundraising page has been set up for you automatically following your registration to the Woof Run – {VIEW PAGE}

Together with your best friend, you will be taking on an array of obstacles to ensure no young person has to jump through hoops to secure safe housing.

So with that in mind, if you haven’t added a profile picture to your page yet, we recommend choosing a picture of your pup. After all, they’re the real MVPs doing the heavy lifting on the big day!

To add your profile picture and to make changes to your page, follow the link below – {MY REG LINK}

That’s everything from us this week! In the meantime, if you have any questions about your fundraising page or about the event, please get in touch anytime by replying to this email, or via: fundraising@stbasils.org.uk

Thank you,
Team St Basils

Just Over Two Weeks To Go...

Hi {FIRST NAME} and {NAME OF DOG},

It’s me! Levi, your Woof Run expert! I’m back again to tell you more about the really fun time you and all my new doggy friends are going to have at the event.

Did you know that all of the very good dogs who complete the course gets something shiny to take home? My human likes to try and dress me up in some very silly things, but my Woof Run medal is one of my most favourite things to wear. There’s a photo of me in mine from last year in the header above – don’t I look great? The humans who organise the Woof Run will also make sure someone takes a photo of you and your dog at the very end of the course so you can show all your friends how well you did – because everyone likes seeing photos of us dogs!

I think I’ve just heard someone at the door so I must go and bark at it, but my human also has some things to tell you so I will let her finish this email…

Why The Woof Run Exists…

All the money raised form this event will support the important work we do here at St Basils.

St Basils provides accommodation and support to over 600 young people every night, across more than 40 supported accommodation schemes located within the West Mids. But to be able to provide good, safe accommodation and the additional support needed, it costs us an extra £8.93 per young person, per day.

This is where you come in; we literally couldn’t do what we do without you, our supporters who help us raise the money to do this. On behalf of us all at St Basils, thank you for taking part and helping us help young people.

To help raise more money than ever before, we are offering a small token to everyone who reaches a target of £30+

If the £30 target has been reached/surpassed on the day of the event, you will be given a free bag of treats for your pup to enjoy during the course.

Here is the link to your personalised fundraising page to share with your friends and family.

Just Over Three Days To Go...

Hi {FIRST NAME} and {Name Of Dog},

It’s me! Levi, your Woof Run expert! I’m back again to tell you more about the really fun time you and all my new doggy friends are going to have at the event.

Last year when we were waiting to start, some of my doggy friends were a bit nervous about some of the obstacles.  Even the goodest of dogs get scared sometimes –  me included – and if your dog does get nervous then it’s okay if they want to skip an obstacle, we all know they did their best (and they still get their shiny medal). The humans organising have spaced out the fun so it’s easy to give things a miss if you want, and revisit obstacles too!

You can see the types of obstacles on this Woof Run video from a previous year!

I’m off now to go and beg for a second dinner, so I’m going to pass you to my human who has a question to ask…

Could You Bring A Friend?

As a dog owner, we imagine your pup makes a friend everywhere they go. So if they’re not booked on already, ask if they would like to join you! It’s a great event to turn into a puppy play date…

To finish the day, check out Solihull BID’s handy guide called ‘Dog Friendly Solihull‘. The guide is filled with dog friendly shops and restaurants in the town centre – a perfect end of the day treat for both you and your pups!

Book additional tickets, here: Solihull Woof Run (stbasils.org.uk)
