Support charities working with young homeless in Coventry!
Coventry SleepOut October 2021
The whole Coventry community is getting together to support homelessness charities St Basils, YMCA Heart of England and Cyrenians, who all help young people who are homeless or at risk in Coventry, by taking part in the City of Culture ‘HOME’ festival sleepout on Saturday October 9th 2021.
Please come and join us and show your support for this important cause!
St Basils houses almost 500 young people every single night. We’re short of £5 a day per young person staying in one of our projects. That £5 will assist in supporting each young person out of homelessness and transform their life.
Our work has continued through-out the Coronavirus pandemic. If you can afford to help us, please donate now.
We have almost 40 supported accommodation schemes across Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Leamington Spa, Redditch, Sandwell, Solihull and Walsall offering a range of support from fully supported projects staffed 24/7 to semi-independent projects and one independent project.
St Basils have a team of Employability Coaches that provide a 5 week Programme to young people within our accommodation and support services. This 5 week course called #YouCan is to facilitate intensive support to help young people kick start the journey back to employment. With a focus of how to get there, through Education, Training and Work Placements in industry.
As a charity one of the main ways we can raise more funds is by hosting prize draws and raffles at our events, where members of the public taking part buy raffle tickets in the hope of winning one of the prizes on offer. The better the prizes therefore, the more tickets people will buy, and the more funds this will raise for our cause.
